How to MAKE GRILLED BACON BURGERS
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut your sweet potatoes into fries and toss them in avocado oil and a pinch of salt.
Step 2. Lay them out in a single layer on a parchment-covered sheet pan. Bake for 15 minutes, then flip them over and bake for an additional 10-15, or until nicely browned.
Step 3. Preheat your grill to medium heat. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, salt, black pepper and garlic powder.
Step 4. Form 6-8 patties and press a slight indent in the center of the burgers. This will help keep the burgers flat when they slightly puff up while cooking.
Step 5. Place the burgers on the grill. After 2 minutes, rotate them 90 degrees and grill for an additional 2 minutes. Flip the burgers over.
Step 6. Set your ThermoPro thermometer to the temperature of your desired doneness (for medium-well to well-done burgers, aim for 160 degrees) and place the probe into the side of one of the largest burgers.
Step 7. Cover the lid of the grill and grill until the desired internal temperature is reached.
Step 8. Assemble your burgers on a bun with green leaf lettuce, slices of tomato, onion and avocado. Serve alongside the sweet potato fries with your favorite condiments.
