How to make the Honey Garlic Chicken
Step 1.Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2. To prep the chicken, combine the avocado oil, paprika, onion powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne and garlic in a bowl. Toss the chicken wings in the mixture until well coated.
Step 3. Arrange the wings on a sheet pan with a rack over it. Use foil underneath for easy cleaning. Roast the wings for 15-20 minutes.
Step 4. When you take the wings out, they should read around 155-160 with your thermopro meat thermometer.
Step 5. To make the honey garlic sauce, combine the avocado oil, coconut aminos or soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar and red pepper flakes (if you’re using) in a bowl.
Step 6. Once the wings come out of the oven, quickly toss them in this mixture until well coated.
Step 7. Arrange the wings back on the rack and increase the oven temperature to 450 degrees.
Step 8. Once the oven has reached the proper temperature, place the rack with the wings back in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until golden.
Step 9. Use your Thermopro thermometer to ensure the wings have an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 10. Top with chopped chives and more red pepper flakes if you like and enjoy!
