Recipe Preparation
  • Garlic powder, thyme, oregano, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt (1 tbsp of each)
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • Beef tenderloin 4-6 lbs
Step Description
1
Preheat your gas grill. Cut the silverskin and excess fat from the tenderloin with a sharp knife.
2
Mix together all the seasoning in a small bowl, and then use it to coat the tenderloin.
3
Tie up the tenderloin by wrapping it with butcher’s twine to hold its shape while cooking.
4
Place the tenderloin on the grill for 5 minutes on each side to sear. Afterwards, turn the tenderloin every 10-15 minutes for an even sear.
5
While grilling, use a meat thermometer like the TP16 or the TP19H to determine if it has been cooked to your preference. Cooking time can vary between 45-60 minutes depending on your grill or size of the tenderloin.
6
Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
