Deep-Fried Turkey Wings

Recipe Preparation
  • 4 whole turkey wings
  • 1 oz creole butter

For seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
Step Description

Wash the turkey wings and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut in half and remove the tips.

Inject the creole butter into each wing section.

Place turkey wings in Ziploc bag(s) and marinate in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 4 hours.

Remove turkey wings from the refrigerator and season both sides with creole seasoning, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper

With the help of a ThermoPro TP511 Candy Thermometer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (177°C) in a large pot or large skillet.

Deep fry turkey wings for 14 minutes, or 7 minutes on each side. Use a ThermoPro TP620 Instant-Read Thermometer to confirm the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).

Place on a paper-towel-lined plate to drain excess grease and enjoy!
