- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cups vegetable oil

Combine all ingredients to form a dough and let the yeast rise for 2 hours.

Heat vegetable oil in the pot to 375°F. Make sure to use the ThermoPro Lightning One-Second Instant-Read Meat Thermometer to determine when the optimal temperature has been reached.

Roll out the dough and cut it into hollow rings using a mold.

Fry the dough rings until they puff up and turn golden brown. Remove and let them cool.

Brush the cooled dough rings with syrup and sprinkle with crushed vanilla and grated cheese.
