Use thermometers for the kitchen, they are ideal so you can check the temperature when you cook and give more security to your food, they are durable and very easy to read, for this reason I recommend them.
I put these in both my toaster oven, and my regular sized oven to check to see if they are all saying the same thing in regard to internal temperature of the ovens. It can be really important to have a double check to make sure you are getting the right temperature in the oven, regardless of what you set it at. These both showed a true and accurate temperature in both ovens. This means that the ovens themselves are putting out the correct amount of heat, AND these thermometers are accurate in their gauge of the temperatures. If you can see my picture, this is the reading on a 350-degree oven that I just pulled some cookies out of. It is just barely under 350, likely because the door was open for a minute to get the cookies out and get my camera to take the picture. It showed 350 before I opened the door. An accurate reading is a must for this item, but I also like that you can hang these in a couple different ways on your oven racks, or you can simply place it on the top of the rack. These are great!
