Recipe Preparation
  • 1 lbs ground beef
  • 1 hamburger bun
  • 1/4 white onion, finely chopped
  • 2 oz cheddar cheese
  • 2 sprigs cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tomato, sliced
  • 1 head of lettuce (use leaves as needed)
  • 2 tbsp Thousand Island dressing
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking
Step Description
1
In a bowl, combine ground beef with chopped white onion, cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, then shape into a patty, stuffing the cheddar cheese in the center so it melts from the inside when cooked.
2
Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook the beef patty on both sides until browned and the internal temperature reaches approximately 145°F (63°C).Use a ThermoPro Lightning One-Second Instant-Read Meat Thermometer to make sure the temp is right. Remove and let rest.
3
In the same skillet, toast the hamburger bun and cook the egg. Assemble the burger with lettuce, tomato, the cooked patty, Thousand Island dressing, and any desired toppings.
4
Serve and enjoy!
