Apparently its much hotter in this room than we thought. We figured it got to 85 max. NOPE! More like 90. Tested it outside as well, next to an outdoor circular temp gauge, and indoors, next to the AC thermostat, because we honestly thought it was wrongBut both of these tests proved its temp-reading ability to be accurate. Will probably buy one for every room. It being so little/compact, I can put it anywhere really ??
These are right next to each other. One of these is not like the other. Will move them to their planned locations and give them a few days before deciding to keep/return. UPDATE: Have ordered a total of six of these so far. They do a great job of helping me monitor the humidity levels of the houseplants in my "jungle." They may/may not be 100% accurate. They certainly are helpful! And unobtrusive.
I love this thermometer because I was annoyed not knowing the exact temperature due to my AC unit always being wrong. Now I get to see the exact temperature and humidity. It's a bonus that it matches the look of my AC Panel! I just put a screw in the wall and hung it up. Now I can get the right schedule settings for my AC unit. I'm very happy with this product!
These little gadgets are so handy and very accurate. I live in a dry climate and use humidifiers in the winter. Accordingly, I like to keep an eye on the interior humidity to ensure I don't have mold issues. Additionally, I use them in my RV to monitor the temp and humidity. They are small and discreet, so you can put them anywhere. They come with a little kickstand so they can stand up on the shelf, or you can even put them on the wall with a small piece of velcro or command strip. I find them to be very accurate in that the temp is always consistent with that shown on my thermostat and the humidity level is very close, within a couple of %, to the hygrometer(?) on the humidifier.
I had purchased one of these like... YEARS ago to monitor humidity levels in a storage area. Recently decided to purchase 2 more to monitor humidity and temperature levels in different parts of my house and decided it would be a good idea to put them all side by side for a comparison. THE RESULTS: After only a few minutes they all synced up and displayed almost exactly the same values (1% on humidity and 0.2 degrees on temperature). That's pretty good actually! Color me impressed! I honestly didn't expect that for what these things cost. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with the quality of these :)
