Recipe Preparation
- 1 lb thick-cut bacon
- 1 lb bratwurst sausage
- BBQ sauce of your choice
- 1 (8 oz) box elbow macaroni
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Step Description

Make a weave with the bacon. Flatten the ground sausage into an area smaller than the weave.

Prepare extra creamy mac and cheese. Sprinkle it in the center of the weave and add extra cheese.

Roll it up in waxed paper and refrigerate for an hour.

Insert your
ThermoPro TempSpike
before putting it into your smoker at 275°F (135°C). Halfway through, brush on your barbecue sauce. Once the TempSpike indicates the internal temperature has reached 160°F (71°C), remove it from the heat.
