Recipe Preparation
- 1 large sweet onion (cut into rings)
- 1 pound thin-cut bacon

- Seasoned salt
- ¼ cup BBQ sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- A couple dashes of hot sauce (optional)

Key Tool
Step Description
1
For the bacon-wrapped onion rings: Set the smoker or grill to 350°F (177°C). Wrap the bacon around the onion rings and sprinkle with seasoned salt. Place them on the smoker and cook until the bacon is crispy, about 25 minutes.
2
For the burgers: Divide the ground beef into three equal parts (a little over 5 ounces each) and form into patties. Sprinkle with seasoned salt. Set up the grill for high direct heat.
3
Place the patties on the grill and cook for 1–2 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
4
Continue cooking and flipping until the patties reach your desired internal temperature. Use an instant-read thermometer like the
ThermoPro TP19H Instant-Read Thermometer
for quick and accurate results.
5
For the creamy BBQ burger sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
