INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 Tbsp. Avocado Oil
  • 1.25 lbs. Chicken Breast strips or Chicken Tenders
  • Use your Favorite Taco Seasoning Blend or make your own: (2 tsp. Chili Powder, 1 tsp. Paprika, 1 tsp. Cumin, 1/2 tsp. Salt, 1/2 tsp. Oregano, 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder, 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder)
  • 1 sliced Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 sliced Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 sliced Red Onion
  • Juice from 1/2 Lime
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Broth
  • Sides to Serve with:
  • Shredded Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Sliced Radishes
  • Black Beans
  • White Rice
  • Avocado
  • Salsa
  • Limes

HOW TO MAKE Chicken Fajita Bowls

  • Step 1. Combine the chili powder, cumin, satl, oregano, garlic powder and onion powder in a bowl. If you don’t have these spices, you can also substitute your favorite taco seasoning blend.

  • Step 2.Toss the chicken breast strips in the spice blend.

  • Step 3. Heat the avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Step 4. Once hot, add the chicken to the pan. Brown the chicken on all sides for about a minute, then add in the pepper slices and onion slices. Saute for an additional 5 minutes, adding the broth and lime juice about halfway through.

  • Step 5. Place your ThermoPro thermometer probe in the thickest part of one of the chicken pieces. The temperature should read at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 6. Serve the chicken and veggies alongside your favorite fixings or in a tortilla. We chose lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, black beans, rice, avocado, and salsa.
