HOW TO MAKE Caprese Meatball Skewers
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2. In a bowl, combine the spices, red onion, garlic, basil, oil and beef together in a large bowl. Mix together.
Step 3. Form the meatballs into small balls about the same size are the mini mozzarella balls and the tomatoes. Place them on a sheet pan and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until they reach your desired internal temperature on your Thermopro thermometer, about 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4. Tent them with foil and allow them to rest for 5 minutes.
Step 5. Once the meatballs are cooked, thread skewers or toothpicks with a cherry tomato, followed by a piece of mozzarella, a piece of folded up basil and then a meatball on the bottom. Repeat with all of the meatballs.
Step 6. Arrange the meatball bites on a plate and serve with your favorite tomato sauce for dipping and enjoy.
