HOW TO MAKE Yummy Grilled Bacon Burgers

  • Step 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut your sweet potatoes into fries and toss them in avocado oil and a pinch of salt.

  • Step 2. Lay them out in a single layer on a parchment-covered sheet pan. Bake for 15 minutes, then flip them over and bake for an additional 10-15, or until nicely browned.

  • Step 3. Preheat your grill to medium heat. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, salt, black pepper and garlic powder.

  • Step 4. Form 6-8 patties and press a slight indent in the center of the burgers. This will help keep the burgers flat when they slightly puff up while cooking.

  • Step 5. Place the burgers on the grill. After 2 minutes, rotate them 90 degrees and grill for an additional 2 minutes. Flip the burgers over.

  • Step 6. Set your ThermoPro thermometer to the temperature of your desired doneness (for medium-well to well-done burgers, aim for 160 degrees) and place the probe into the side of one of the largest burgers.

  • Step 7. Cover the lid of the grill and grill until the desired internal temperature is reached.

  • Step 8. Assemble your burgers on a bun with green leaf lettuce, slices of tomato, onion and avocado. Serve alongside the sweet potato fries with your favorite condiments.
