HOW TO MAKE SMOKED TRI-TIP
STEP 1:
Season the tri-tip with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
STEP 2:
Smoke the tri-tip at 250°F– 275°F (121°C– 135°C). Use a ThermoPro TempSpike 500-ft Truly Wireless Meat Thermometer to determine when it has reached an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C).
STEP 3:
For the perfect crust, sear the steak over high heat for 1 minute on each side.
