Christmas Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
- 2 large egg yolks
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup milk
- Pinch of salt
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon (for topping)
- Alcohol (optional)
HOW TO MAKE Christmas Cocktail
STEP 1:
Pour milk, nutmeg, and vanilla into a small saucepan over low heat.
STEP 2:
Whisk egg yolks with sugar and slowly add to hot milk mixture in batches.
STEP 3:
Cook over medium heat until slightly thick without boiling. Use a ThermoPro TP19H to check that the mixture reaches 160°F (71°C) without going over.
STEP 4:
Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream; according to your preferences, add a liqueur such as bourbon. Refrigerate for 2 hours; use a TM01 for an accurate countdown.
STEP 5:
Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon. Serve, and enjoy!
