I bought this thermometer because of the advertised speed. I’m a little disapointed with the speed. I thought it wouldn’t be as quick as 3 seconds, but I hoped it would be under 10 seconds. If I press long or short on the power button, it doesn’t seem tot make a difference in speed. It works fine but IT isn’t instand read.

Thermopro Products and Their Customer Service Is Awesome. Previously had a issue with my TP-03 Meat thermometer and chatted with Mark and he took care of me. And sent me a out a a new Meat thermometer . Great Customer Service !!! Thank You. Love Thermopro Products!!!
Melaine Famageltto –
Used it for Thanksgiving last week. Worked like a charm. Digital display easy to read. Hopefully it lasts. Wish it came with a case or something to protect it. Ours has many scratches on it out of the sealed box.
Willard Lerch –
the thermometer gives temp very quickly and the magnetized body makes for easy storage.

I have the newer TP18 design
I really like the fact it uses 2 AAA batteries instead of the button types.
Accurate reading.
On/Off is a bit touchy but you eventually get used to it.
I’m left handed and I find it to be comfortable to use.
Maynard Giarrusso –
It is slightly too big to slip into the chef jacket shoulder pen pocket but sticks to fridge nice and shows temp pronto on the stab. Me likely!
Earleen Dunkley –
Easy to use and I use it for cooking on my grill and my food turns out cooked very accurately.
Roslyn Rizo –
Has been simple and easy to use. Have used up to 80ft away without issue.
Chance Bassuk –
I just received this TP20 last week and I used this past Sunday to smoke two 8lb Boston pork butt’s. It works as it should, started out at 37 degrees and watched both pork butt’s climb to an internal temp of 210. Only used one time so I can’t rate the battery life. Pleased so far!
Daevian –
Very accurate!
Kneidde –
Have only used product once. Work as advertised and matched another thermometer within a degree or two. Very quick on acquisition of temperature. Little bulkier than I thought, but very easy to operate and handle. Glad I bought this product. Will update if any changes pop up.

This works, IF you take the batteries out and put them back in (in the right order) every single time. Once quit in the middle of cooking a roast and if I hadn’t been there watching it, I would never have known. Had to do the battery routine again to get it going again. Would be better if you could leave the batteries in, in between uses. Especially if you use it every few days!
AmazCustomer –
Great for smoking in the backyard barbecue.
Carmelo Alvia –
This thing is pretty cool because it has switchblade action. Press the big red button on the end and the pointy end flips out. Okay, so that is probably the most fun part. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it measures temperature but here is what I did not like:I tested this thing on different foods and under different circumstances. It works, and it is rather fast (but you do have to remember to hit the start button – it is not automatic). But it measured rapidly boiling water at 206 degrees (just over 6 degrees off). I like this. I really do. It is cheap, easy to use, goes off automatically, and while it is not the fastest time to measure digital thermometer it is handy. But the accuracy thing bothers me. It is more than safe enough to test when meat is cooked (as long as that meat is over 3/4 thick) but I was hoping for more precision. I can not complain; I was offered mine free for testing and review, but that means test and review, and this one was not quite there. If you are doing scientific measurements, or if you are cooking food that is highly temperature specific you should invest more money (something costing five times as much), but for the backyard barbecue or everyday kitchen use this thing works well – very well.It does emit a series of beeps when the temperature stabilizes, but sometimes it will not stabilize for a while, slowly climbing up to it is final guess. If I had bough this for the price Amazon has I would have no complaints. It is a good little thermometer, but I am mildly concerned at the accuracy of my tests over several uses. I hope this helps you decide if this is right for you.

This is a nifty little cooking penetrative meat thermometer with a pop out prong making it very easy to store in the drawer or in your pocket while cooking outdoors. All the basic functionality that you would expect from such a product is here including a F/C toggle, auto shutoff and easy to read LCD display. This product also has the unique Fast Calc feature which is basically an algorithmic method to determine the probable final heat reading before the thermometer actually measures it. Fear not though, this feature can be toggled to a normal read but in most cases I found the Fast Calc reading to be fairly on the nose from the actual. Good simple, easy to use functions and attractive, compact design makes this a great accessory for my home cooking needs (product sample provided for review).
Tobias Croak –
This instant-read thermometer is more solid than my previous one. it is easy to use, the read-out is large, and it is fast and accurate.
Coreen Chenevey –
i received this complimentary product, along with two more thermometers from ThermoPro, for testing and evaluation purposes. of the three, this was my second favorite. i really like a couple of the features of this thermometer. the flip-out probe is very handy, and it effectively reduces the length of this item by half for stroage. it has an auto-off feature, so you do not forget to turn it off and kill the battery. this thermometer also uses a AAA battery, which are just handy because everyone has spares of this size battery around their house.i found that this thermometer was consistently pretty accurate (within a degree or two), when tested against the other two thermometers. i have included a picture for reference. however, i could not get this thermometer to produce its reading as quickly as it claims to operate. it would take 20-30 seconds for it to settle into its final reading. the housing is basic plastic, and does not feel very durable. however, it is still intact and functioning correctly after two weeks.with the exception of the slow readings, this thermometer is a great budget kitchen utensil. i would definitely recommend it to others.
Kelly Obbink –
It works, I do not think it is lightning fast as it jumps in smaller intervals than I would have thought. it is also a bit longer than most because it folds into itself….for safe storage. Have to use it more before I vote higher. Price was right and it does the job
Richelle Possehl –
it works!!
Jasper Rancourt –
Nice thermometer, I;ve owned it a couple months now. Only used it a few times, but is fast and accurate. do not leave it too near the oven vent like I did, it warped a little, but if you read the instructions you should know not to do that anyway! My bad, good product. I will update as I use.
Dalila Imig –
seems to work great, not a fancy build quality (plastic).
Mikel Relph –
I cook for a living and I have trouble keeping track of smaller thermometers. So this one is easy to use, easy to read and easy to keep up with.
Georgene Zottola –
Good!
Judson Glordano –
This thermometer is perfect for what we need. It is quick, accurate, and a breeze to clean. It is bright red, making it easy to spot and the thermometer is a simple push button to release and folds back in, making it compact as well. Great product
Hanh Edghill –
Worked well, compared to my other one and got a good reading
Titus Dennie –
My other Digital thermometer is a Taylor #9306N for which I paid $100. It is USDA food grade certified and has an infra red reader. This ThermoPro is not in the same league BUT will be my go to thermo for every day use. Both units read the same temp but the ThermoPro has some neat features. It has an on board computer that computes the final temp thereby being much quicker than the $100 unit. The temp arm fixes ridgely so you can jab it into the meat. The instructions require some thought but are understandable. I also like the way the arm folds and locks in place. All in all a very nice kitchen addition. I am the kind of guy that is thermometer anal. I use 2 thermos when I cook a Turkey just to be sure. So I have some thermo experience.
Tonia Diep –
Works great!
Byron Freyer –
Was very nice to finally have one that really worked!!
Luanna Seton –
It goes off automatically though. But seems like an off button would save some battery life.
Grady Ropes –
Works well
Daisey Bogue –
Does not live up to ultra fast billing.
Rusty Laskosky –
I love it.
Natividad Herlocker –
Good alternative
Horace Vancuren –
This is a quick reading meat thermometer. I love the color and design. The red is a beautiful color, not too bright but not dull either. It comes with a handy little hook on the end that you could hang it on the grill. It also is not very large so it fits nicely in the kitchen drawer without taking up too much room. I liked how the probe was released with a button instead of having to dig to pull it out. That was nice compared to similar products. It does not have an on off switch though. It does have auto shut off but I feel that the off button would improve battery life. It takes one AAA battery so nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. It read my food temp quickly and accurately. I did receive this product for a promotional price in order to be able to give my honest unbiased opinion on my personal experience with this thermometer. I will gladly update in the future should I have any issues.
Dorla Istorico –
Love this thermometer. Folds up and works great. Only had for a few weeks so can not speak to longevity.
Gail Fedalen –
Worked well. Have had no issues and would buy again.
Socorro Finocchiaro –
The ThermoPro TP-03 works as expected. It reads quickly and accurately. I also like the fact that it folds rather than having to keep up with a case.
Calvin Braggs –
It works
Leonie Calais –
So good I ordered two more for a friend of mine. Great value and does the job!
Van Smolensky –
Came a part after a few cooks, and with a low n slow smoker, not a grill. (And no, I did not leave it in there) it was cheap but even $6 is a waste for like 2 weeks of cooking.Update: received a replacement probe. This one works great. To this point no issues at all.Very impressed with the customer service.
Maureen Miers –
The thermometer works perfectly! It very quickly and accurately displays temperature, and is also one of the few that use a AAA battery so it lasts much longer than most of the other instant read probes, and can be replaced at very little cost.
Eddie Loureiro –
Works perfectly. Easy to use. Fast temperature calculations.
Nanette Poeppel –
Works great!!!
Kendrick Stangl –
It works great. can not be beat for the price.
Laurinda Jungling –
Good thermometer for the price. I am not sure how accurate the quick reading is. You have to press start button a second time to put it in the fast read mode. It takes about 5-7 seconds to estimate the final temperature. When I hold it for a longer time, not in the fast mode, the temperature went higher. I did not really have a good way to check the temperature for accuracy.
Ricardo Pearlman –
Accurate & easy to use…great product.
Wanetta Denwood –
Unless you are a chef for a five-star restaurant, I do not know how you could not love this thermometer. Maybe it is because I am used to using an analog thermometer that would take 5 minutes and still not even be the right temperature, but I love this thing. it is the perfect size, the collapsible prong is so handy, and it works in under 10 seconds. I know that is not instant-read, so maybe that is not good enough for you. But I am more than happy with it.
Arlie Hoppin –
Great product! Picked it up on a Daily Deal. Reads instantly and accurately! Daily usage!
Magdalena Whetzell –
Does exactly what you need it to do, and it is very simple to use.
Trey Coutant –
Love it works well and let us me I did not undercook awesome
Alverta Meza –
Works great and is easy to use. My only complaint is that I wish the thermometer stick was a little longer – it gets a little hot and hard to hold when you are trying to get a read on food prepared on a hot grill, or hot oil.
Forrest Hickman –
This handy little gadget may save our lives one day. the probe is protected by the way it folds inside the body, and it is compact enough to store in a drawer. Being a long time nurse, I realize the importance of cooking foods to the recommended temperatures in order to kill any disease producing microbes. We have not cooked much this summer and it was delivered only recently. but being curious I tested hot water, coffee ,smoothies and anything else I could find except for my own temperature ! I have recommended Thermo Pro to all my friends and I would certainly buy it again if needed.I can no way find a downside for this purchase.
Delois Bjornstrom –
Works great! I now have better control of how well cooked my meats are.
Jefferson Elerson –
I was able to prepare the perfect by strip with the help of this food thermometer. It easily slides into the meat and is easy to clean. It folds into itself making it easy to store.
Dot Sollers –
Great item works fast
Deshawn Alff –
Good product at reasonable price.
Vicky Ros –
This device does the work of two kinds of thermometer. Take the temperature of your turkey or roast as well as your peanut brittle. The company reached out to me personally. Am amazed as I am not used to that kind of customer care.Keep up the good work!
Britt Jago –
It works. I really like that it uses a commonly available AAA battery.
Lucile Polachek –
Works perfectly. Great price
Tuan Kennie –
My favorite thermometer.
Marlyn Mckee –
Works as described
Milton Krouse –
works as expected
Minda Kirouac –
Works perfect. I bake bread regularly and this is my must appliance. Very accurate and easy to use.
Myles Italia –
We have used this a couple times. It seems to be effective, providing a quick temperature reading when inserted into the food item.
Perry Eacret –
Works great..glad I bought!
Dalton Himanga –
Large display, fast read, new favorite.
Tawanna Sweed –
Works great
Daron Kretchmar –
This will be used quite often. I rely on a thermostat to check my food to see that it is ready. It is a little thicker and reads a little slower than my $$$$ probe but can not beat the price. Also, it uses readily available AAA battery.
Marcy Rindels –
Are you looking for instant read? This is not it. It takes at least 2 seconds to register. That said, I have found it to be extremely accurate. it is great for items on the grill and kitchen dishes. Because of the delay, it would not be my prefered thermometer for smoking meat.At this incredible price, I purchased a few to keep around the kitchen.
Vince Kalaf –
Works as advertised
Cecile Alwazan –
For the price this is a very nice cooking thermometer. Very easy to use. Comparable units cost 10 times as much. Great way to start checking internal temps of meats.
Shelby Baylor –
Simple; economical & fast.
Tena Modest –
I purchased the ThermoPro as a stocking stuffer.
Maximo Angileri –
Works perfectly like that the probe is hidden when not in use
Terrilyn Bielefeld –
Great
Marshall Reibert –
I open the package and fiddled with it and gave it as a gift for Christmas. Seemed to work fine and I liked the fact that the battery was an ordinary household type, and that the thermometer shut itself off after a
Jame Helsley –
Nice. A welcome addition to the kitchen and BBQ

I like it and it works for me.
Lilian Santmyer –
Works good and worth the money.
Isaias Alm –
Works like a charm!
Bernetta Mathisen –
here it is a year and a half after i bought this, and it is still kickin, and accurate, i must say. i have checked it against two other thermoms many times, i use them all often, and its accurate to within one degree and it reacts fast to temp changes, and stays current. only reason for a deduction was it was a little pricey. and it tends to stick shut a little, but i forgot about the price long ago, and appreciate the quality much more recently!
Andreas Mcclintick –
Bought several of these for gifts. Everyone says they just love them.
Ardelia Tilly –
This is the third one that I have bought and all three that I have bought are within 3 to 5 degrees off but if you would just for that they work just great. Love the fold over handle easy to store
Les Legrande –
Was afraid that the lower price was an indication that it was inferior… Happily surprised to find out that it has worked well and still does…
Reanna Fenstermaker –
Large, easy to read numbers. Very quick (within three seconds) and accurate readings. The body is about 6 long with the probe enclosed inside the body. Feels good to the hands. It can temporarily freeze the probe reading for around five seconds and turns itself off after 90 seconds if no buttons have been pushed. This makes all of my previous probes look very slow and hard to read.
Mohammed Lazenson –
Only used it one time for Prime Rib and it worked great, too cold for grilling yet and that is what I bought it for.
Glennie Lawton –
So far the power button is the only draw back to this device. it is responsiveness is very inconsistent so I find myself holding it far longer than I want to some times and at other times just a glance will get a reaction.Other than that the thermometer is great; nice design, quick readings, sturdy in size with good weight and the probe folds away nice and easy.
Gavin Ponti –
Recently received my thermo pro tp03. I have used quite a few different thermometers. It is one othe best. Thermo pro is my go to meat thermometer.
Fredia Carithers –
Works well. I have had this for a while now and it still works fine!!
Arnold Maritt –
Best meat thermometer ever. Nice large read out. Works very quickly and accurate. Highly recommended!
Milly Vierk –
I like this digital thermometer very much so far, especially for the price. It has a quick read, which is important to me. The only reason I did not give it 5 starts is that it is bigger than I expected. It is not that much of a problem, but it is a bit clunky. I still like it a lot.
Buddy Vanhevel –
It works great. Even on its first use the dish came out just right instead of underdone.
Zona Gielstra –
Nice thermometer, works well, but the red LED display is hard to see in sunlight. An LCD would have been better for outdoor use.
Jack Immediato –
Works great
Lizzette Else –
I have a ThermoPro TP-20 which is absolutely indispensable for smoking. So when I wanted an instant read thermometer, I turned to ThermoPro again. The TP-18 is super quick, accurate and does not break the bank. I have used it for grilling, baking and with the upper temp range in the 500s, my wife can use it for candy making. 10/10 would recommend.
Stacey Luedtke –
it is easy to work with and incredibly accurate! Worth the time at a pretty great price.
Krystal Desak –
Quality product, large digital display
Sammie Biggins –
I have purchased much more expensive thermometers which work half as well as this one. Terrific product and very sleek.
Meta Ladue –
I have been waiting to order this!! I Have not used this product yet but I needed it because my vision is very poor and the long thermometers that sit in the pan get all foggy. This looks much easier and faster to read. I like the way it feels in the hand. Did have a little trouble figuring out if the buttons were pushed or not but I am sure I will get used to it. I hope it is good for more than just [email protected]
Mason Bethell –
Fast service, got it in the time they promised. thermometer reads well. So far, so good.
Jerry Vining –
If you do not have one of these, you need one now.
Agustin Teegarden –
Would have liked to see the on/off either in a different location or a push button instead of a touch. It turns on or off to easily when you not expecting it to.
Nakia Feist –
Easy to use, no guessing on read-out, and easy to store. Highly recommend.
Ariel Boehmke –
This worked great. Used it to see if a quiche was done.
