I have used it a few times and it works well. It updates faster from colder to warmer than opposite, and is not “instant”. Still very quick, though, within a few seconds. Easy to flip/open probe, and the automatic rotation of the display is working too.
I liked the bonus item in the box: a tiny screwdriver to open the battery lid on the back.

With the TP620, Thermopro has brought the speed of a thermocouple sensor and combined that with the many nice features of their earlier TP19H. Plus, they throw in a stylish look, a bright, large LED display, a nice non-slip, grip and a larger opening to hang it up when not in use. (Of course, with the convenient magnet, you may not even need to use that feature!) Put all that together at a great price, and I think you have a new trendsetter in the instant read thermometer category! And, no, I am NOT being paid to say this and purchased my TP620 like anyone else:)
