For the money, this meat thermometer is a terrific value. Unlike a previous wireless thermometer I reviewed, which consumed batteries like there was no tomorrow, I have been using this one for over a year and have never yet had to replace the batteries. Wireless works perfectly. I can monitor the probe on my phone anywhere in my home with no lapses. The app provides a wealth of information including live thermographs for both the meat interior temperature and the external temperature. Since using this thermometer, my steaks and roasts have turned out perfect. It is also perfect for rotisserie cooking. No cords to wind around the rotisserie shaft. The probe is very easy to use and easy to clean. I bought a second one for my son for Christmas and he loves it. It just went on sale so I’m buying another for myself. The only improvement I can think of would be for TempPro to offer a dual probe model.
Was a gift for by husband. He likes to smoke meat. It is a great way for him to check the temperature of the meat with out going to check the grill probes.
It is a great design. However, it’s not very accurate. I’ve used it a few times and the ambient temp is 25° too low and the internal reading is 10° too low. At first I gave it 2 stars. After product support told me how to reset the unit, it now reads accurately.
It worked great, a great value for the money.
I bought this for a swap game and it was a hit. Great gift!
