Temperature on pointinstead of babysitting a roast I was able to spend more time with family

  2. Howard S

None of these devises are simple. You have to read the directions. However, i gave up on ink bird in trying to pair it with WIFI after many hours trying. The Thermo pro works great!! The Bluetooth and distance it provides is all that is needed for the freedom to do other things around the house while keeping an eye on perfectly cooked meats and chicken.

  3. Roger

Was looking for a remote thermometer with multiple inputs and did not need (or want) Bluetooth or apps for my phone. This fit the bill, and works perfect. Also checked accuracy and it is dead on. Quite happy with it.

  4. Bryan C

Used this for less than a year and already busted. 2 of the 4 probably are broke and on prob 4 just reads LLL no matter what. Unit or parts was never leftbin the weather or abused. Tried reaching out to thermpro with no response. Used plenty of the older thermpro with no issue. This one is just a dud. It was accurate when it did work.

  5. coach316dc

I bought this late in the season last year and I’m just now getting a chance to use it. This thing is awesome and a complete game changer in my world. Especially during football season! No more getting interrupted from the game to check the temps on the smoker itself or on your meat probes outside. With the alarms you can tell when your smoke chamber temps are too high or too low; and on the meat setting pull your meats at the exact temp you set it for.The color coded probes are nice to have when smoking different meats. Set the meat temp for each type of meat you’re cooking on the transmitter. Plug the colored probes into the corresponding color port on the transmitter and make sure you put the probe into the proper meat you have set the temp for.The transmitter and receiver are synced right out of the box. As soon as I put the batteries and probes in and turned on both units the receiver was reading the transmitter.Easy to set up each quadrant between meat and Hi/Lo (smoker temp). Set an alarm with a tone, vibrate, both or silent.Love that it has connections for 4 probes. Coupled with the 2 probes on my smoker, I can have 5 probes in meat on my 5 rack vertical smoker and 1 reading the internal air temps. Or any combination thereof. This is going to sound silly, but I LOVE the packaging that it came in. Particularly the probes. It comes with the probe wire wrapped around this black plastic piece with the connector snapped in place on one side and the probe snapped in place on the other side. I was going to throw them away but decided to try and reuse them to keep everything neat and organized in the box. It was easy to snap the connector in, wrap it back up, and pop the probe on the other side. Everything tucked nicely back in the egg carton protector and back in the box. Nice, neat, organized and ready to go for my next smoke!

  6. hamed

Use it for 5-6 months now works great, home with 3 concrete walls between me and the grill never lost connection once.

  7. C. G.

Set up to 4 probes any way ya like. Set alarms for each probe for target temps. I also set a probe next to the meat to know exact temp in that area. Seems to be very accurate, all foods come out perfectly. The remote can be dark indoors but has a handy backlight. Very happy with this product.

  8. dan

I have a couple of the thermoPro products. I have to say this model is so much better. Very fast to sync. There magnetic on both the transmitter and receiver. The older temp probes will work with the new transmitter. Having 4 probe inputs is very nice to have.

  9. bond3d

Bluetooth or not there over rated. Best way to go is …’KISS”… Keep It Simple Stupid… I liked it enough that I got my son one. Now that he got himself a smoker. It’s simple to use, don’t have to worry about losing connection with Bluetooth. The wireless remote works just as good if you want to keep an eye on temps with it having to go outside on a frequent bases. Just set it and forget it…

  10. T. Armstrong

4 people and 3 different choices of having their steak cooked. I can set and forget it without having to babysit each steak.I smoked a chuck roast at one end a chicken at the other no problems with getting to the proper temperature for either one.

  11. Jack Conner

Today is my first time using this ThermoPro model. I’ve used previous models in the past and really liked their quality. This one added a magnet to the rear to easily stick to steel surfaces and the 500ft range means I can be anywhere in my house without losing signal, the one thing that was the most annoying with my previous ThermoPro. I did deduct 1 star because the packaging had the appearance of being a returned product (box flap was torn off and missing). It did appear to have all the probes, batteries, and parts though. It was not marked as “refurbished” or anything, so time will tell if it was used and returned because of something faulty.

  12. Turtleman

So I would like to say that ThermoPro customer service is excellent, and was able to refund me on this item. The issue with this set is the auto off feature. It is designed to automatically shut off after being on for 2hrs with the temp not reaching 104 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are smoking a thick piece of meet from the refrigerator at a low temp, the internal temp will not breach 104F in 2 hrs and your unit will shut off. This is a major design flaw and should at minimum be an option to have enabled or disabled. Other than that I really liked the setup. But being that the unit cuts off and makes this unusable for me.

  13. Dennis Bentlage

Works great when smoking different meats on the smoker at the same time.

  14. The Keleher

My husband loves this. It easily reaches from our shed to our house without having to use WiFi or a cell phone.

  15. HuSmokin

A perfect wireless meat thermometer does not exist in my experience, but this one comes pretty close. I’ve used various temperature alarms from Weber, ThermoWorks, Meater and other no-name brands. I also own a few other cooking alarms from ThermoPro. But this has become my go to unit because it just works when I need it to.This unit can take 4 probes to measure individual meats temps and set alarms for readiness, or set a minimum/maximum range for ambient temperatures. The latter is particularly useful for those of us who are managing live fire cooks. The probes and readings are reliable, and the smaller receiver rarely loses signal in all corners of our 2-story home. Plus you don’t have to mess with Bluetooth, WIFI or other apps. It just works. Oh I’ve dropped the units multiple times on multiple surfaces, and aside from the battery covers popping off occasionally, this thing has proven itself to be a workhorse.I would definitely recommend this item for folks in the market for a cooking alarm.

  16. Stacey L.

I love the different proves for different parts of the meat or cooking mult steaks I can customize each steak to each person’s liking. Water resistant perfect and lots of customizing stuff. Great

  17. Adam J. Moses

Not in a good way. I’ve gone through 4 probes in a year. They last for a couple of months. I’m waiting on the company to contact me back so i can get some more probes. Probably best to save your money. The good? The distance that you can get between the base unit and the mini unit is impressive. It works great when you can get accurate readings from the probes though so that’s a win.

  18. J Darcy

Very confusing to operate. I followed the directions and still had difficulty.

  19. alex

I was wondering why one chicken was taking so much longer. seems the one i thought was done was probably 5 degrees under cooked. i thought i was paying extra for accuracy and quality, i guess i was wrong. Other than that it is a really nice thermometer, the range on the portable unit is great. i have had no problems connecting and staying connected. i will reach out to the company and see if it is just a faulty probe and see if they stand behind their products. will update if it is resolved.Update: Reached out to customer service and they sent a replacement probe immediately. The product is nice outside the bad probe. the company stands behind it so i am happy.

  20. joe

Takes a cook to get used to it.

  21. Taad

So far, I like this temp monitoring system. It’s relatively easy to use and setup, once you figure it out and it’s nice to have 4 probes to work with. I’m assuming the temps are accurate but don’t have anything to check it against. Having the remote monitoring keypad is nice when doing long cooks. The transmitting range is great! I will be doing a brisket on my pellet grill soon and look forward to using this device…so far, so good!

  22. Matt Schaber

I bought my first smoker a few months ago (a 24″ Camp Chef vertical propane unit) and needed to pick up a reliable and accurate thermometer to use. I read a bunch of reviews on a bunch of different units, and in the end arrived at this one. There are better ones (for much more money), and there are cheaper ones that may possibly be as good, but having 4 probes was a definite sale-point, and I’m really happy I picked this one!So far, I’ve used 3 of the 4 probes in a single go. One always monitors the ambient temp inside the smoker, and the other 2 go in opposite (or very differently sized) sides of the meat. Having a 4th probe in reserve is just a nicety that I’m sure I’ll make use of as my skill level increases and I tackle more difficult cuts of meat (or more items in the smoker at once). The thermometer is very easy to use, setting temp alarms is easy, the remote is relatively compact and never loses signal at any point in my house or on my (0.6 acre) property, over-all, I don’t think you can go wrong with this thing! It’s a bit more expensive than some, but I think for the price you get more than you pay for!I will say, I haven’t verified the thermometer accuracy with another tool, but my smoker results have been outstanding so it seems to be doing its job!

  23. Crystal Biffle

This product is so easy-to-use, efficient, and accurate. My husband loves the portable display and that he can leave the wood burnung smoker to do other things. It is very durable as well! Would recommend to others!

  24. gbdusmc

It doesn’t have a timer but the temp setting will alarm so that is great. After reading how to change the temperature settings in the owner’s manual everything worked like a charm. I had to go online, the manual wasn’t in the box.

  25. Aaron Bailey

    Worth the purchase! Works great!

  26. Amazon Customer

I Do like the 4 probes, how ever they are a bit long and hard to get into smaller cuts of meat. And Give inaccurate temp reading if not in all the way

  27. amber R

I got this product for my husband and it works great. He can be in the house and with this device he can check the temperature. Works great.

  28. John Brodemus

This meets all of my needs. With four probes I can select the temp I want. Can be used in house or outdoor grill.

  29. Steve Miskovich

Have smoked several items with the TP27. It is a great, accurate unit with amazing range. I have found the only thing that may be a negative for some is the straight probes. The probes work great in my bigger smoker, a grill/kettle style. But in our vertical smoker I found myself wanting an angled probe. Because of the racks and short front to back distancing of the Pit Boss Copperhead smoker, the straight probes were a problem, almost unusable. I thought ‘no problem’ I will use my bent probes from one of the other smokers. Found out the jacks are not the standard size that the smoker companies use for the built in controllers. Other then this one limitation an amazing product.

  30. Da_chewster

This is a great wireless thermometer! I like this better than my Inkbird because it isn’t bluetooth. So it has a significantly better range. It seems to be be really accurate and has a great temp range. The only issue I have is the adhesive for the magnet on the probe base was crap and the magnet came off. I’m still looking for a good fix to reattach it. That honestly is a minimal issue as it has a hole for a hook. So a screw is all I needed to hang it from my smoker house.

  31. Ramon Jules Moral

I hate having to write this review. I previously owned the legendary TP-08. It was the best unit I have owned. My new roaster/smoker arrived and I decided to up the number of channels on the thermometer do I could handle multiple meats..So first flaw: the larger of two units goes outside. This does not work out well. You have to do all programming of the unit outside. With the TP-08 programming is done on the larger unit which is with you.2: being outside the larger unit, the one with the most electronics is close to your cooler and subject to the elements鈥fter one use my outdoor unit is sticky.3: the temperature measurements are not uniform . Indoors, with the probes laying within 3cm of each other there was a more that one degree difference between them. The first time I plugged the probes in, the reading depended on how I inserted the plug into the big unit ( non-ohmic contact?).4: the plastic on the probe plugs are all gummy now.I would by Thermo Pro unit with 4 channels or more where big unit goes with me, and all the alarms sound on the big units.I hope this commentary is helpful.

  32. William V. McLemore

    Just what the doctor ordered!

  33. DD

This is a great product and has all the features you are looking for. The box is sturdy and allows for easy storage of the device when not in use.Two things that would make this better:- optional wooden box to store. The wooden box speaks to the quality of the product and that I expect his to last a long time.- optional store in case. Since this has 2 methods of use a base and remote. I bigger base with ability to store plugs and everything within it would be nice. Yes the size would increase a bit, but you have the portable unit for moving around.

  34. Tony Rodgers

I found the temp probes to be inaccurate, and I didn’t feel they were reliable. If I hadn’t used it already I would return it for sure!

  35. Steve

Only used it a couple time, but checked the accuracy of the temp for each probe before ever using and all 4 were within 1 degree of accuracy and of each other. It is easy to use and an added tool in my BBQ accessory arsenal. I would recommend for sure

  36. Ron Mlodzienski

Used it about 12 times with my smoker and absolutely love it!! Easy to read, the range is great, and does not shut off like some of the other reviews talked about.

  37. Amazon Customer

I knew that I wanted a thermometer that was WiFi not bluetooth. I wanted at least three probes. I wanted a good quality thermometer. I found it with this thermometer. I can check the left end, the right end and the middle of the meat, while the fourth probe tells the the grill temp. This is the best thermometer I have ever used, does everything they say, and their customer service is VERY GOOD. 5/5 stars from me. Thank you

  38. Nick86

setting a temperature for your probe can prove to be difficult, however when everything is set it works great. the remote unit works well, however if you want to carry it around in your pocket, it’s going to beep. The “thermo-pro” logo on the top of each unit is a touch button that turns the backlight on. This gets annoying when you’re moving around and it’s in your pocket.

  39. Alvadog

As many have already stated, this is an excellent unit. Two things not mentioned are the environmentally friendly packaging used on the inside. Rather then styrofoam, the product is packed in recycled newspaper (or similar product) carton which is much cleaner and sturdier, and can be used long term for re-storage of the contents. Thanks to the manufacturer for supporting this approach. The probes also have a very cool storage-after-cleaning holder that keeps the wires in good shape. A nice touch. Thanks

  40. Rosemary

This was hard to pull the trigger on but man is it worth it! Precise temps makes smoking and simple 2 hours cooks on my BGE so much less stressful, well made, ultra user friendly, not a single issue with 20 uses!!! Probes are a little big but heavy duty!!! The reviews were right this is the grill thermometer to get hands down

  41. Amazon Customer

It did everything it was suppose to do!

  42. Randall Gentry

I like the probe set overall, but the battery lid of the main monitor always sticks to my grill when I remove the monitor. Mostly an annoyance, it stays together if I slide it off.

  43. Sam Wilson

So easy. No phone to unlock, no app to open, no bluetooth to stay in range of. Just put the remote in your pocket, or on the table next to you, and you get instant real time temps.Would buy again.

  44. Raul Tricoche

I love this thermometer. All fours probes worked great and were accurate. The probe cord length was great for me. The range is insane! Did not have any issues with the remote readout. Smoking on one side of the house outside and with the remote monitor I was cooking the rest of the meal in the kitchen. The unit feels durable too. I am looking forward to more cookouts with this unit.

  45. royc

I have bought other Thermopro thermometers and they did not last long. This one seems to be better built. So far, so good.

  46. T. L. Williams

I’ve only used two probes but it has worked well so far.

  47. Bigredrushe

My only peeve is that the manufacturer does not have a case for a flagship item! I have to keep it in the original box for now.(((Come on guys)))I’ll give all of the good points in an updated review AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR PRODUCT LAUNCH!(It really is a good product)

  48. L.J.F.

Christmas gift, have a similar model.

  49. Amazon Customer

Liked the unit but 2 probes have already shorted out. Had 3 months.

  50. CJR

New to bbq cooking. Great aid to smoking, grilling, roasting various meats on my 26″ Weber Kettle. Took me a couple of cooks to get the hang of understanding and setting the temperature probe temperature ranges but was on me. Now can cook and smoke different meats on Weber at same time to correct temperature. Getting better. Temp probes definitely help.

  51. Jeff

These probes all seem to accurately read temperature, and the metal braid wire covers allow me to easily route the wires either through the lid or the probe port on my grill. The portable mini-display makes it easy to keep track of the cook and grill temp at all times.I love that I can set an upper and lower alarm so I know both when the meat hits critical temps and if there is a problem with my grill heat!

  52. David Cosilion

I tried it with 11 hour brisket and also tried with it with a 7 hour pork butt and was spot on with the temperature readings I had a quick temperature meat thermometer that matched one degree under or over. The distance I would say 100 feet if inside the home and in a the furthest room in the house. I’m happy so far

  53. fuzzy nelson

Nice having 4 probes and a Bluetooth pager.

  54. N/A

For the price this is a great product. I had 2 of the 4 probes go bad within a year. I have found upgraded probes to buy so they may have fixed the problem.

  55. Russell McNorton

Great product. I had problems with the probes recording the appropriate temperatures and called the company. The was extremely helpful and made some adjustments. I like to run to prongs per large meat item and they would show a 15 to 20 degree difference. I finally realized a difference in the depths of the prongs by a 1/4 would throw them off. I now use my digital quick read and find the coldest part of the meat and place both prongs at that depts. They now stay within a degree or so.

  56. Paul

Can’t tell you how many thermometers I have gotten over the years, but this one is a game changer. I have always been of the mindset that I needed a thermometer that reads the temperature as meats are cooking, and have tried more than a few with this feature. My ultimate frustration was Thanksgiving when guests were commenting “mmmm- this is good” while slathering gravy all over the turkey meat. I tested two cuts of meat before writing this review, a 4 bone prime rib I dry aged for Christmas ( fatty ) and recently a large pork loin roast ( lean ). As with the rest of us, I wanted to get each to a certain temp, then take it out of the oven for the carry-over. While the roasts were cooking, I had the receiver with me while doing other things in and outside of the house. When the initial cooking was done, the alarm went off, and out of the oven they came. I verified the temps with a instant read, and let them rest. With both roasts, I couldn’t have been happier.. just perfect. The instructions were easy to follow, and I was impressed with the range of the receiver though I did not get near the stated range of 500 feet. This unit has more functions than I can see using ( smoking ), but it’s worth knowing I have the right tools if needed. Hands down, this is the best thermometer I have ever had.

  57. Scoobi_FreeBSD

Works like a charm! Pretty easy to read, controls take a little getting used to, but I usually just turn off all alarms and just watch the temps on my own. Never had any problem with the remote getting temps inside the house with the grill on the back patio (fiber cement siding, stayed within 100 ft of grill).

  58. Amazon Customer

Found it very useful when cooking two different size roasts on a smoker. Was able to watch both without opening the smoker!

  59. W.T. Chinners

Accuracy of remote to base, total accuracy, response time, not matched to suggested food cooking temps, EASE OF USE!!!

  60. bill vasaly

Very readable, easy to use. The multiple probes are great for cooking different items at the same time.

  61. ERPcon

Seems to be working as expected. Really nice to have 4 probes and remote distance is good. However the probe ends are color coded to the unit plugs and the probe ends loose their color so you have to follow the wire to figure out which is which.

  62. Bladez

Used this 3 times during long smoke times and I cannot believe I’ve never had one before. This is part of my arsenal of cooking tools now.

  63. TABco

Very accurate. Prefer this to my old app based one because it stays connected better. The ones that send Bluetooth to my phone get disconnected all the time. I use this for my smoker, so I can see temps without having to go out to the shrike-shack. Should have bought one of theses 4 thermometers ago. Lesson learned.

  64. Mat

The Thermostat works pretty well. I frequently smoke meats and this is perfect for setting it up and going and hanging out inside while monitoring the temps for the several hours it takes for some of these cooks. The one suggestion I would make is DO NOT mount it on any metal surface outside for any period of time. The visuals and advertisements show it attached to a grill without issue. I had it mounted to my grill (which was not even in use) while I used my separate smoker to do a cook. It wasn’t even a long cook (maybe 2 hours), and when I came out to check it, the plastic had completely melted on the device just from the heat from the sun (it wasn’t even a hot day out – maybe 73 degrees), which in turn ruined/broke the device. Learned my lesson and had to order a second one, and now I keep it covered or under my grill in a shaded area to prevent any heat exposure.

  65. Uncle G

Very basic tool. No tracking, Bluetooth, timers etc. If all you need is a waterproof thermometer with great range, remote sensor, four probes, adjustable hi/lo temp warnings than this is for you. The main unit spent several hours in the cold and rain and didn’t miss a beat. The only negative is that you must silence the main and remote alarms independently. Not a deal breaker for me.

  66. Jeff

We replaced our 20 year old grill a few weeks ago. Since we got a Weber I was looking at the iGrill as a nice add-on. I think the iGrill looks like a fine product, I choose the this ThermoPro model for the following reasons- The iGrill comes with the ability to show propane tank level. I don’t need this since my grill is natural gas.- I also have a smoker and a charcoal grill. With the ThermoPro I can use it on all these.- ThermoPro comes with 4 probes already. Not sure I will ever use 4 but nice to have.- ThermoPro was a bit less expensive. The only knock I have so far is a wish 2 of the probes were a bit shorter in length. That way I could pick the best length for the cut of meat I am monitoring.

  67. Robert Riedel

Thermometer is pretty easy to setup and use

  68. MrDitty

A little complicated first time launching

  69. Lonnie Uptegrow

Ok, so in a nutshell this thing is fantastic. There is a learning curve but nothing to difficult to master. However coming from a TP-07 this thing is the one to go with. Now the learning curve…you have to go through several button presses to dial in the temps you want to set for each probe. Additionally, the lack of pre programmed temps is a disappointment but not enough to take a star away. Once you learn the sequence to program it you will find that it is as easy as riding a bike. I have done two smokes with this and on my second smoke I did not have to consult the instructions (a mans kryptonite). The probes were temping +/- 1.5 degrees. Which is acceptable to me. I think some changes that would take this over top would include…quick access to either probe so that you can easily program the temps you want. Adding preloaded temps and allowing you to adjust from there would make it even more user friendly. Adding the ability to disable the alarm from the receiver on both the receiver and transmitter would be great. During my smokes I could still hear the main units temp alarm going off even though I disabled the alarm on the receiver. And last but not least probably the only issue is any for this unit is having that touch area where you would naturally grab it. I can’t count on hands and feet how many times I grab it there and constantly turn the light on and off. I’m pretty sure this is going to run batteries down a lot sooner than they should be. I think just adding a light button would suffice or make an existing button dual function where it can turn the light on and off. Other than that this is a great unit, and having the four probes for a BBQ guy is game changing. If they could only make this unit with some improvements and water proof for those unexpected rainy days then it by far will be the wireless thermometer to get. As it is now this is a Good Buy and you will not be disappointed!FYI:All of my reviews are buy me and me only. I do not receive product to test no will I ever do so. I want people to get out of the reviews what they were actually meant for. I give praise for a product where it is due however I will show no mercy for a product that is no where near what it claims to be. Always be careful when products have high numbers of reviews and the vast majority are positive.

Wanted a remote thermometer for my BBQ game but also realized this thing is great for making broth. I had to drill out a pot clip so the prong would fit but it’s extremely helpful to set the hi/low warning to keep the simmer straight over a 8-36 hour window. I also bought the TP20 for comparison but quickly realized the additional features on this, including the magnet clip and hanging loop, were well worth the added cost for convenience in addition to the better probe and remote set up

  71. imurrx

The device work as described. I only wish you could use different meat settings on each separate probe.

  72. G D C

    Works well

  73. C.Ball

I use this for the grill, oven, and roaster! Helps me make a perfect holiday turkey!

  74. William T. Kinley

    Great product and accurate.

  75. Amazon Customer

Overall I have liked this product. I have a single family home and range has never been an issue. The reported temperature is consistent with the temperature displayed on my smoker. There is one frustrating issues I have with it. The back lighting on the receiver is inconsistent. There is no rhyme or reason for when the back lighting comes on. It is frustrating when doing a long cook, especially over night. I have to pick up the receiver, shake it about, and hope the back lighting comes on so I can see what the temps are. I wish it had a button to push to turn on the back lighting on demand.

  76. Kindle Customer

    So far so good.

  77. C. Wilde

I actually ordered this from Amazon. I never did receive the product… However I did purchase again later. Seems to work okay. Range isn’t exactly what is claimed oh, that being said, it’s still a good product. Would recommend

  78. 1biggestdog1

This is great when you cooking four different meats you can keep a close eye on them so there not over cooked

  79. Lance

For Memorial Day, we smoked 2 Boston Butts and without this thermometer, It would have been much more difficult. The overall cook took 23 hours, I know It could have been quicker, but we did It at 200 degrees and this ThermoPro TP27 did it’s job to the ‘T’!! It we used the alarms for the meat as well as the Green Egg and It did just as advertised when needed. Having the ability to have multiple thermometers in the Egg was great, 2 in each piece of meat on at grate level. PERFECT!! I’m not sure I’ll cook anything else on It without this. HIGHY RECOMMEND!!!

  80. Bryan NC

Very happy with this product. Performs as it should

  81. Denise

My son in law likes to smoke three or four pork butts at one time so he needed something that he could monitor the temp of all of them. He loves this thermometer. It fits his need perfectly. I would highly recommend this thermometer to any food smoker

  82. kenneth craig jackson

Bought this thermometer to test a pit that i was new to and fell in love with it. The four probes allowed me to determine the thermometers on the grill were 40 degrees off. The four probes allowed me to watch internals on the meat and also the cook chamber temps for both the lower and higher racks. Definitely helps with getting consistent product. Highly recommend.

  83. Amazon Customer

The distance is the best part about the product, its pretty accurate with the temp .The only issue is that only has 2 settings, Meat temp, and grill temp….if you want to adjust meat temp they are preset , you cannot change from 160 , it won’t alarm you if you want something at 130, like a rare meat, or even fish. You have to watch the food instead of use the probes.

  84. Ken Willey

Been using this for 6 months now and they work great. Highly recommend this product

  85. Rick

Really loved this thing for about 7 months used it about 10 times but now the little part wont turn on ive tried multiply sets of batterys it just won’t turn on I always cleaned and put back in box after use no reason for it to stop working

  86. Dalester

It works as adverti. Amazon recommends a case that does not fit it. Company does not make one. Needs a case

  87. D. Duffy

I used only 1 time so far. Temps were exactly right on . I did 2 large tri tips on my Treager. The temp on one was 130 the other 128. I swapped places with them they both hit 131. I pulled them then seared them they were perfectly rare medium rare. Temp was right on. I’m happy. love the magnets on these as stuck the unit at T right to hopper and the one I carry is small. They are nice. I am using this week end again.

  88. harry Wilson

Was easy to set up, keeps track of ambient temp of grill as well as meat being cooked.Only down side is it does not have presets for different kinds on meats

  89. Kevin S.

Using this has allowed me to elevate my bbq pit game. I can now better monitor the internal temp of my offset and meats. I love the alarm on them, very loud and can easily hear from a good distance away.

After owning this unit for about 3 years, I had to order a new 1 due to my own fault! I trusted the local meteorologist!! This unit does not do well in heavy rain. I love the ability to set up 4 different probes and the temperature range on each individually. I love smoking and this thing is a game changer!! I always set 1 to read the temperature of the smoker and than others for whatever meats are cooking. Setting your temperature ranges can be a little tricky at first but not bad. I find the probes to be pretty accurate when testing in an ice bath or boiling water. They read within 1 degree of what is expected. The remote unit has amazing range!!! Way better than any Bluetooth device and I have tried several!! If you are looking for a good temperature probe set without spending over $200, you cannot go wrong with this!!

  91. Kenny

All is good with this product except changing the set points

  92. Shane

Update: the seller replaced with a new unit which works much better. Range is good on the remote display & the unit is easy to set up & use.As far as I can tell, complete junk. A 75 degree spread between the 4 probes sitting on a couter.

  93. Carolyn

That it was Exactly What it was supposed to be.!

  94. Jena Pullin

Love this unit. Have had the two probe model for years and this one is even better. I use it on 12-14 hour smokes and it removes any guess work. Once you use probes like this you won’t smoke or grill without them.

  95. Amazon Customer

Product is very accurate and dependable

  96. Bob

Read-out responds quickly. Readable in the sun and shade. The remote receivers connects and works as one, with the base transmitter. Stand alone Bluetooth doesn’t require a phone or internet (exactly what I was looking for). Settings are a little challenging, but this is the first time use. Should be fine when becoming more familiar. Would recommend to friends. SIDE NOTE I bought the hard case for the TP99. Not a “custom” fit, but works just fine. I store the 3rd and 4th probes in the cover pouch.

  97. Steve

I bought this thermometer about 8 months ago and have enjoyed using it. Yesterday I noticed there was an error code on one of the temperature readouts. I called their customer support department and the representative was very helpful in identifying the problem. They sent me a replacement unit, free of charge, the very next day! Their customer support is excellent and they stand behind their product.

  98. Mark

Accurate readings, and the remote monitoring makes it easy to watch the cooking without having to sit right by the grill.

  99. Dennis

Easy setup/use, could leave the grill unattended and not worry.

  100. Cory M.

A little bit clunky so set the desired temp, but once set, it works great and has no problem getting signal through multiple walls of the house.

  101. SpeedyBlades

Great so far. Accurate temps. I double checked with another meat probe to verify. Touch pad for lights are nice for night smoking. Great product. Happy Smoking and Grilling.

  102. gino

Talk about smoking 4 different meats at once lol rang varies but I had it read at 200′ away. Easy to use and a most if your trying to get into the smoking game and like to watch your temp. I have left it out in the rain a few times and nothing has happened lol pretty damn Durable!!

  103. J. Woods

was given to me as a Christmas present. I haven’t had the chance to use it on my smoker/grill, but I did use it in the home oven and it worked just fine.

  104. Juanca

For roasting a tenderloin and grilling steaks

  105. Tabi Po

Bought this 4 port probe after retro fitting my weber kettle with 4 non crimp port holes. This true temp was calibrated in boiling and ice water and all probes were accurate. Have used a few times so far with good success. Highly recommended

  106. Pete P

I really wanted to like this thermometer. Had great reviews and packed with features. My very first cook with it, it let me down. I smoked a brisket, separated the flat from the point. I allowed them to come up to run temp before putting them in the smoker. Inserted the probes and immediately had two very different temps. As the meat cooked both temps were higher than my analog thermometer by different amounts. Just very inaccurate and disappointed.

  107. RobS

This little guy helps keep the fancy toys (like the Meater Probe, or the KJ iKamand) in line by providing an extra temp reading to increase confidence. It’s got four probes with a unique design that I really like. The probes each come wrapped on a cord organizer. There is also a switch operated hanger for easy placement on a grill or smoker stand. I have had no issues getting readings all over my house (unlike those fancy toys) and it notifies me if something is awry by either beeping or vibrating which is great for overnight cooks.I don’t think one thermometer is enough when smoking, but this should be one of them.

  108. James

These have never let me down. Easy to use, accurate and easy to clean. Like the colored prongs as it makes it easy to identify the different steaks/food you have on the grill that is getting close to being done. Like the case the prong wire wraps up in and the way the prong clamps in them. Easy storing.

  109. A Ikenouye

I love how accurate these are, I’ve run into a lot of thermometers that the heat will travel up the probe and throw off the reading. Not one problem here. I switched from one chicken breast over to the other and the read was the same.Good range and easy to use.You do have to be careful pulling them out when you’re done, they are very hot and not silicone wrapped or anything. But it probably would hurt the temp range if they were.Changing the temperature for alarms was the only confusing part, just had to read the manual but it was easy to do.

  110. dan

My ONLY gripe about the product is petty. I wish there was a little more bend protection where they wire meets the probe. Otherwise I love it. Strong magnets, easy to read, bright backlight, nice long probes, probe wires are steel braided and sturdy, loud alarm or vibrate is nice for remote device. Wire caddy for the probes is a thoughtful touch so you don’t have a bunch of loose wires in the kitchen drawer.

  111. N.h

Super easy set up and works perfectly

  112. Debbie

CONS:Received a sealed unit, unpacked it and found red stains of some sort (paint maybe ?) on both of the readout display case soft plastic edges. I tried to clean it off but couldn’t even after scrubbing hard. So even after you clean the units it still looks like someone with bloody hands had just used it! Very disappointed by their quality control. Preset meat and wellness would be nice also instead of having to manually program in the temperatures. I tried to use the unit without reading the instruction as I am sure to loose them at some point (and it shouldn’t be that complicated to use) but failed. Backlight “button” is NOT labeled and easy to accidently turn off/on, and you have to hold the set button for 3 secs to adjust the temperature. Also there is no timer function and there is no storage case for it included (and to my knowledge you can’t order one that fits from Thermo Pro).PROS:Color coded temp probes and color coded display is convenient. Unit was pretty accurate and consistent at boiling and freezing points with all 4 probes.SUMMARY:Considering the unit is more expensive then similar units, the mysterious red stains, no case included, lack of preset meats/wellness selections and no timer function I would NOT recommend this particular unit.

  113. Black Dog

I used ti measure grill temp a ham and two turkey breasts for Christmas, Everything turned out great using the 4 probe temperature

  114. Donny

Fairly easy to learn and use. Way better than the Maverick I bought at Lowes, by leaps and bounds. If you’re looking for a thermometer that’s accurate and easy to use, look no further.

  115. Syosuperhero

Works great but the magnet on the back keeps falling out so it won’t stay on the side of the smoker

  116. KRD

This is a wonderful tool for the serious cook. No more worries on determining “when is it done?”Cooking by temperature is the way that chefs do it and IMHO, is the only way to do it

  117. Ronald Perkins

This thermometer with four separate probes is perfect for cooking and barbecue. It provides consistently accurate temperatures, quickly. It is portable and over six months have not had to replace the batteries. We use it almost every night for preparing dinner. As a retired chemist, obtaining accurate and precise temperature readings are important, especially if ones goal is medium-rare steak!

  118. Ron

So far it has worked flawlessly. If you place it correctly the meat is cooked perfectly

  119. LD

    Easy to read great product

  120. Quincy Gordon

It was very easy to use and very accurate in measuring the food temperature.

  121. Jaycen R West

Purchased these to try them out with the smoker. They work extremely well and I use them on the grill and in the oven as well now. I recommend this temperature system for the average avid cooker

  122. Connie

    Son loved it

  123. Bob

I really don’t like the controls on the unit that is near the grill. I change temperature during a cook.
